The Love List ~ The Card Can Be the Gift

There is something cooler than the card that comes with the gift ~ and that is card that comes BEFORE the gift….

If this sounds like more work ~ thats not a great ATTITUDE ~ if you know what I mean…pass it on!

Taking the time to order, select, pay, giftwrap [ok…have someone ELSE giftwrap!] this special something for that special someone is one type of gifting…

But the CARD can become a gift in itself ~ and it will last longer ~ stay in someones heart ~ possibly stay in someones POSSESSION for far longer than nearly ANY gift. When going through the detritus at the end of a relationship, looking back in sadness or gentle perspective it often not the GIFTS that are the remnants….but is highly likely to be the CARD…

Sometimes the wording of your message may seem intimidating….but let me help you out here….it can be as simple as this:

‘Later today a gift is going to arrive for you, I’m having it delivered, although I would love to see your response to it. Your presence in my life enhances me ~ and this card, and the gift, are my way of showing you that. Enjoy’

Not so tough ~ and no, I don’t mind if you copy it out word for word…

The card before the card….the card before the gift can take the gifting to a whole other level….and words stay long after gifts, flowers and other tokens have faded away….
